Waste heat utilised sensibly
Swimming pools, hotels, and wellness facilities generate large amounts of warm wastewater every day—from showers, cleaning processes, and pool water replenishment. AquaCond harnesses this energy source and efficiently converts it into warm domestic water. The result: significantly lower energy consumption, reduced costs, and sustainable operation.
Every indoor swimming pool produces warm wastewater every day, whether from showers, pool cleaning, or regular replacement of the pool water. This energy is often lost unused and causes permanently high operating costs.
AquaCond makes this potential economically viable. The compact heat recovery system extracts thermal energy from wastewater and uses it to heat fresh water. This significantly reduces energy consumption during operation.
The technology is suitable for use in new buildings as well as for the energy-efficient renovation of existing facilities. The combination of a counterflow heat exchanger and a heat pump efficiently recovers existing heat and returns it to the water cycle.
A sustainable contribution to CO₂ reduction and ESG goals
A clear improvement in energy efficiency in the overall concept
An economically viable solution with a short payback period
Compact design – space-saving, modular and easy to integrate
Swimming pools generate large amounts of warm waste water every day, which represents a source of energy that has often been untapped until now. This is where AquaCond comes in: the system systematically uses the existing waste heat to heat fresh water, making it economically viable for use in building services engineering.
Constantly warm and available every day
Regularly plannable and with a stable temperature profile
An energy loss that should not be underestimated
Maximum energy savings through two-stage heat recovery
AquaCond utilises the heat contained in wastewater in a two-stage system that can be efficiently integrated into new or existing facilities. The technology combines a coaxial heat exchanger with a highly efficient heat pump for maximum heat recovery with minimum energy consumption.
The warm waste water first flows through a coaxial heat exchanger, where it transfers its energy to the colder fresh water using the counterflow principle – without direct contact, but with high efficiency.
The result: the fresh water is preheated free of charge – purely due to the temperature difference.
In the next step, further residual heat is extracted from the already cooled wastewater. This is brought to a higher temperature level via the heat pump process and then transferred to the preheated fresh water.
Result: The fresh water reaches the desired domestic water temperature – energy-efficiently and economically.
With AquaCond, you not only bring efficiency into your home – you also get a solution that impresses in everyday use. Well thought-out down to the last detail, easy to integrate and reliable to use.
Self-cleaning – for lasting performance
Thanks to integrated cleaning balls, the heat exchanger is automatically freed of deposits. This maintains efficiency in the long term – and reduces maintenance to a minimum.
Controls that think for themselves
With the integrated Siemens control system, AquaCond can be conveniently monitored and remotely controlled at any time. All relevant parameters are reliably recorded – for maximum operational reliability and transparency.
Perfect for new builds and renovations
AquaCond is compact, standardised and quick to install – whether in new build projects or when replacing existing systems. Everything from a single source, everything perfectly coordinated.
Tried and tested. Efficient. Highly recommended.
Numerous systems are already in use – with noticeable savings in energy and operating costs. AquaCond brings sustainable efficiency to your everyday swimming pool technology.
AquaCond is designed so that the system can be integrated safely, economically and with a view to the future into every planning phase – from new construction to the energy-efficient refurbishment of existing systems. Thanks to its modular design, the system adapts to the technical conditions on site – with a high degree of flexibility in terms of design and integration.
Suitable for new buildings with continuous hot water operation
Ideal for renovation projects where energy savings play a key role
Compatible with existing system technology and easy to integrate into control systems
The design is modular and the components are compact. Whether for small pools or large baths, AquaCond can be configured to meet different requirements and performance ranges.
The optional use of waste water storage tanks (e.g. buffer tanks) allows the system to operate efficiently even when the waste water flow fluctuates throughout the day. This increases predictability and ensures consistent operation of the heat pump.
