According to the new guidelines of December 19, 2018, it was decided that stationary refrigeration and air conditioning systems that operate with non-halogenated refrigerants will be funded by the German government with immediate effect. This was stipulated by the German Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA) in the guidelines for the funding of refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
Menerga units with evaporative cooling meet these requirements and can therefore be funded by the state with immediate effect. The funding applies to all applications, whether comfort air conditioning or industrial applications, which are carried out with indirect, adiabatic evaporative cooling in the air conditioning systems in Germany. In principle, all evaporative cooling systems are eligible for funding, as the level of government funding is individually determined by the cooling capacity of the evaporative cooling system. In general, however, smaller systems are more specifically supported than larger systems. The formulas for the calculation can be viewed on the BAFA website under the following link.
The programme for the promotion of refrigeration and air-conditioning systems is an important milestone in the climate protection initiative. Above all, it is intended to contribute to achieving Germany's climate protection targets by 2050.
BAFA is responsible for processing the funding applications and paying out the subsidies. Menerga provides all relevant equipment data required for the application for support. In general, it should be noted that the application must be submitted before the contract is awarded. All funding conditions which have to be observed can be viewed on the BAFA website.
