The cost-effectiveness of a leisure pool depends on the number of visitors and the daily use. As with all other pool types, the energy required for ventilation and dehumidification is particularly high compared to other operating costs of the pool. Continuous dehumidification of the pool must be ensured around the clock, whereby the dehumidifying proportion in the resting and activity phases of the swimming hall varies. This is even higher, if in addition to the mere pool surface, numerous attractions such as slides increase the evaporation in the pool hall.
